Abstract:The existing anchors for casing sidetracking are unable to provide production channels for the main wellbore and prevent reservoir contamination caused by rock debris during branch wel sidetracking. To address this issue,a full port permanent anchor packer was designed.The anchor packer had reliable anchoring capacity and had alarge internal diameter to preserve production access to the main wellbore, without requiring recovery. The rubber cylinder sealing mechanism had good annular pressure and sealing functions,which could effectively prevent rock debris from falling into the main wellbore and avoid reservoir contamination.Laboratory tests and field applications show that the compressive and tensile capacity of the tool is up to 1 OOO kN,and the torsion resistance is up to 50kN⋅m . After the rubber cylinder is set, the pressure-bearing capacity can be 21MPa .This tool has reliable anchoring capacity and annular pressure-bearing capacity during casing sidetracking in branch wels and has broad market promotion and field application prospects.
