Abstract:To address the issues of the existing measurement and adjustment technologies for chemical flooding of injection wels in oilfieldsand optimize the chemical flooding measurement andadjustment cycle,a new type of adjustable partial pressure tool for chemical flooding was developed.Based on the fundamental equations offluid mechanics,the initial version of the tool was produced through theoretical calculations and simulation analysis.The focus was then shifted to optimizing the low -viscosity loss throttling performance and the compatibility between the tool and the distributor.By leveraging CFD and finite element analysis to accurately simulate the flow characteristics of polymers,the design was improved.Simultaneously,structural optimization was carried out to enhance the tool’s performance.The results show that in the laboratory hydraulic characteristic tests,the new tool has a polymer solution viscosity loss rate of less than 5% in the range of 10~50m3/d ,which is better than the industry average.In field applications involving 3OO wells,the new tool has achieved a high rate of qualified measurement and adjustment,increased adjustment eficiency,shorter average stabilization time,reduced labor intensity, and a first-time adjustment qualification rate of over 95% . The new tool significantly can shorten the single-well measurement and adjustment time,improve the eficiency of measurement and adjustment, enhance injection quality and recovery rate,and achieve significant cost reduction and effciency improvement.With reliable and stable performance and strong adaptability,the new tool isof great significance for promoting the development of effcient measurement and adjustment technologies for chemical flooding.
