Abstract：Ice climbing isachallengingoutdoorsportthatiscurrentlyinthe initial stageofdevelopment inChina. Byoutlining the origin，competitions and technical keypoints of iceclimbing，and examining its development in China，it isfound that thecurrent situation presents apattern of multi-subject participation，agglomeration in regions with high-quality ice and snow resources，prominent characteristic alpine integration models，and pending exploration of crossborder cooperation among culture，sports， tourism and business. At the same time， ice climbing also faces practical dilemmas such as high project risks，asmallnumber ofparticipants，lowcompetitive level，and aggravated climate change. This paper proposes to improve the ice climbing management system by optimizing the competition management model，establishing arisk assessment system，and enhancing the competition entryqualifications; to promote ice climbing byoffering related courses incoleges and universities， holding competitions inscenic areas，andorganizing activities inparks;and to broaden the development pathoficeclimbingby using digital technology to support visualized development，carrying out innovative utilization to promote sustainable development， applyingartificial intelligenceto drive scientific development，and conducting international exchanges to accelerate high-quality development.By integrating iceclimbing into the integrated development patternofculture，sportsand tourism，the landscape of iceand snow sports inChinacanbeenriched，and new options for public fitness methods can be created.
