Influence of number culture on the design of ancient robes in China

Abstract：As an indispensable part of Chinese ritual culture， number culture is the source of inspiration for new Chinese clothing design. To analyze the influence of number culture on the design of ancient robes in China，the article adopts the literature research method to interpret the characteristics of number culture，explores the aesthetic expresson of number culture in the design of ancient robes from their evolution，and analyzes the influence of number culture on the design of ancient robes from the three aspects of the design of clothing style structure，decorative paterns and button knot decorations through the two perspectives of the symbolic preference and the proportionality aesthetic thought of the proportion of numbers by means of dimensional conversion，proportional computation，and data comparison. The study finds that the number culture，using the ancient robe in China as a carrier， presents an aesthetic meaning with the characteristics of the times，and forms a special form of symbolic meaning and proportionality aesthetics expression. The study not only shows the artistic charm and application value of the number culture，but also provides reference for the application of traditional ritual culture in the innovative design of new Chinese clothing.
