The theoretical value of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important discourse on the development of cultural industry

Abstract:As a strategic emerging industry with ideological and market atributes,China's cultural industry has become an important carrier to improve the quality and efficiency of the national economy, meet the needs of the people's spiritual and cultural life,and shoulder the new cultural mission in the new era. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC),General Secretary Xi Jinping,based on the Marxist theory of cultural industry,has comprehensively studied and judged the requirements of the times for the development of cultural industry in the cause of the Partyand the State, and put forward a series of new ideas and new strategies to guide the development of cultural industry in the new era. In the important discourse on the development of the cultural industry,General Secretary Xi Jinping adheres to the classical Marxist writers' theories on the capitalization development of cultural production,the commercialization of art and the development of books and newspapers,and deepens the CPC′= s understanding of the functional status,value orientation, practice path and international cooperation of the development of the cultural industry. The answer to the question of how to promote the construction of a strong cultural country with the development of cultural industry in the new era,improve the cultural well-being of the people,create a community of common destiny with cultural prosperity and shoulder a new cultural mission has made an important theoretical contribution to the Marxist theory of cultural industry development and Xi Jinping Thought on Culture.
