高校翻译课堂语境下教师的身份建构和关系管理

ldentity construction and rapport management of teachers in the context of university translation teaching

Abstract: Based on the pragmatic identity theory and rapport management theory,the study takes the transcribed texts from the award-winning teachers'teaching videos in the translation group competition of "SFLEP Cup" National Finals as the corpus. By examining the rapport management strategies in the discourse, stylistic and illocutionary domains,and combining qualitative analysis with quantitative statistics of the corpus,the study explores university translation teachers'pragmatic identity construction and implementation of interpersonal management functions from the interpersonal pragmatic perspective. It is found that these teachers use rapport management strategies to dynamically construct identities of knowledge transmiter, class organizer, translation practitioner, learning companion, evaluator and intercultural educator in the translation class,so as to realize the corresponding interpersonal functions, which include shaping their own positive quality face and identity face,protecting students' equity right and association right. In the process of constructing dynamic identities, teachers achieve multiple teaching objectives,foster harmonious teacher-student relationships,and promote students'holistic development in a positive class atmosphere.
