Abstract：Objective：Tosystematically evaluate the intervention effctof massage therapyonrestless legssyndrome （RLS）in hemodialysis（HD）patients，and to provide evidence for non-pharmacological interventions for RLS in HD patients.Methods：A ChineseandEnglishsearch strategywas developedto search published literature inthe China national knowledge infrastructure（CNKI），Wanfangdatabase，PubMed，Embase，and The Cochrane Librarydatabases fromthe yearofconstruction to April2024. Qualityassssment of theliterature was performed by2researchers according totheinclusionand exclusioncriteria，literature screeninganddata extraction，and statisticallyanalyzed using RevMan 5.4 software.Results：The eight included literature were published inthe years 2015—2O22 in Iran，Turkey，and

China，andalleight studieswereRCTswithatotalsamplesizeof435cases，of whichseven werebasedonthe restless legs syndrome scores（RLSS）asanoutcome indicator，and one was based onthe international restlesslegs syndromeseverityrating scale（IRLS），3articlesusedthepitsburgh sleepqualityindex（PSQI）astheoutcome indicator，and 2articlesused theshort formof36 health survey questionnaires onqualityof life（SF-36）as theoutcome indicator， 1 SF-36 was unable to extractan effect value.Eightof the included papers reported theefectof massage therapyon RLS intervention in HD patientsusing arandom-efects model，and the resultssuggested that massage therapy could improve the severity ofRLSin HDpatients[ MD=-7.97 ，95 %CI （ -12.92 to -3. 02 ）， ∠=3.16 ， P<0.01 ].The effctof massge therapyonPSQI intervention in HDpatients was reported in three included studies usingarandom efectsmodel，which suggestedthattherewasnostatisticallysignificantdiference inPSQIscores inHDpatientswith massage therapy[MD=-2.12， 95%CI（-4.82 to 0.59），Z=1.53，P=O.12]. Conclusion; The available evidence suggests that massage therapy is effctive inreducing RLSsymptomsand lessening theseverityofRLS in HDpatients，andthe efectonimprovingsleepqualityneeds tobefurtherexplored.Itis recommendedthatclinicalstaffuse non-pharmacological measures to manage RLS-related psychological and physiological conditions in HD patients，and massge therapycanbe implemented early for them to improve their symptomatic outcomes.
