Abstract：Hypertension and diabetes，being among the most common chronic diseases worldwide，the coexistence of hypertensionand diabetes （Hypertension-diabetes melitus，HTN-DM）increases the risk of patients developing cardio - vasculardiseases and othercomplications such asretinopathyand nephropathy.As the prevalence of HTN-DMcontinues torise，the public health hazards itcauses are also increasing，making research into its influencing factors increasingly important.Thisarticlereviews theliteratureinrecentyearsbothdomesticallyandinternationally，summarizingaspectsof the pathophysiological mechanisms，epidemiological characteristics，and related influencing factorsof HTN-DM.The resultsof theliteraturereviewindicatethat，in termsof pathophysiologicalmechanisms，insulinresistance，chronic inflammation，endothelialdysfunction，andautonomic nervous systemdysfunctioncan promote thedevelopmentofHTN-DM throughpathwayssuchas metabolicdisorders，vasculardamage，and sympathetic nervoussystemactivation;demographic characteristics（age，gender），economic environment（socioeconomic status，environmental factors），lifestyle habits （smoking，alcoholconsumption，exercise，dietaryhabits，sleephabits），familyhistory，psychologicalfactors，andbsity havealsobeenconfirmed tobeassociatedwith theriskof HTN-DM.Analyzing theseinfluencing factorsand their interrelationshipscanefectivelyidentifyhigh-riskpopulationsforHTN-DManddeveloppersonalizedpreventionstrategies.
