Abstract: Objective To explore the prognostic factors influencing outcomes in patients with intraventricular hemorrhage(IVH） treated by external ventricular drainage(EVD）.MethodsThe clinical data of 221 IVH patients treatedat the Afiliated Hospital of Medical University from January 2O18 to June 2O23 were analyzed retrospectively. Patients were assessed using the Glasgow outcome scale(GOS） and divided into a poor prognosis group( n=112 ） and a good prognosis group （ n=109 ).Univariate and multivariate regresson analysis were performed to identify risk factors affecting prognosis after EVD for IVH. ResultsUnivariate analysis revealed significant diferences between the two groups in variables such as age，Glasgow coma scale(GCS），modified Graeb score, bleding location， preoperative cistern visualization， timing and method of surgery，hematoma volume in the lateral，third，and fourth ventricles，white blood cell count，CRP，D-dimer，FDP, Evans index， NLR, neutrophil percentage，neuron-specific enolase(NSE），brain natriuretic peptide （BNP），continuous lumbar cistern drainage，postoperative cistern visualization，hematoma clearance rates in the lateral，third，and fourth ventricles，and the occurrence of intracranial infection，delayed hydrocephalus，or rebleeding( P
