Abstract: ObjectiveTo investigate the impact electromagnetic navigation on hematoma evacuation efficacy in supratentorial spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage.MethodsA total 95 patients with supratentorial spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage admitted to Hospital from December 2O20 to December 2024 were analyzed retrospectively. Patients were divided into an electromagnetic navigation group(45 cases) and a traditional imaging localization group(5O cases).Parameters included catheter placement accuracy(ratio catheter-to-hematoma contact length to hematoma long axis),hematoma clearance rate(residual volume before catheter removal), urokinasedosage, hospital stay, and neurologicalprognosiswere compared.

ResultsThe electromagnetic navigation group demonstrated a significantly higher ratio catheterto-hematoma contact length to hematoma long axis compared to the traditional group( 0.79±0.06 vUs 0.64±0.13 , P<0.001 ),smaller residual hematoma volume before catheter removal( 7.77±4.30 Us 11.18±5.04mL , P<0.001 ),reduced urokinase dosage( 38.98±16.31 vs. 50.18±14.76 WU, P<0.001 ),shorter hospital stay( 12.29±4.19 Us 14.60±5.75 days, P=0.029 ),and higher Glasgow coma scale(GCS) scores at 2 weeks postoperatively( 11.36±3.05 US 9.92±3.26 , P= 0.030). No significant differences were observed in complication rates or favorable Glasgow outcome scale(GOS) at 1 month postoperatively. ConclusionsElectromagnetic navigation can improve catheter placement accuracy and drainage efficiency in intracerebral hemorrhage treatment,leading to rapid recovery and shorter hospital stays,but did not improve functional outcomes.
