Abstract:【Objective】Inthecontext of rapid urbanization, establishing an ecologicalsecuritypattern (ESP)for natural protectedareas(NPAs)iscrucial forenhancingconnectivityandguiding territorial spatialecologicalrestoration practices.【Method】Taking the Yangtze River Delta urbanagglomeration (YRDUA)as the study area, ecological sources were identified based on ecosystem service value by integrating morphological spatial patern analysis(MSPA)with data onexisting NPAs.Acomprehensive resistance surface was constructed using theanalytic hierarchy process (AHP),and ecological corridors were extracted via the minimumcumulative resistance(MCR)model. There byconstructing an ESP withthe model of“Ecological sources-Resistance surface-Ecological corridors”.Connectivity characteristics of NPAs were systematicallyassessed topinpoint keyareasforteritorial spatial ecological restoration.【Result】The study identified145ecological sources,323ecologicalcorridors,and34potentialcorridors.Criticalrestorationtargets included one low-securityzone,179ecologicalpinch points,and35ecological barriers.【Conclusion】Thisresearch reveals significantconnectivitychallengesamong NPAsin the YRDUA and proposes connectivity enhancement strategies withinterrtorialspatial planning:(1)Breakingadministrativeboundariestopromotecross-regionalecologicalcoridor development.(2)Implementing diferentiatedrestorationin priorityzones. These findingsprovidescientificsupport for optimizing NPA connectivity and regional ecological restoration.
