Abstract：The intestinal microbiota is the largest microbial communityin the human body，which participating in the metabolismof nutrients in the body，and is knownas the"second genome"of humans.The imbalanceof the intestinal microbiotacan afectthe functionsof thehost'snervous，endocrine，and immunesystems，as wellas the digestiveandabsorptive capacityof the gastrointestinal tract，mediating theoccurence ofaseriesof diseases.Related studieshave shown that theintestinal microbiota iscloselyrelated to the pathogenesis of polycystic ovary syndrome（PCOS）and can participate in the developmentof PCOS byregulatingthe levels of steroid hormones，insulin resistance，inflammation，and obesityinthe body.Basedonthis，thispaperreviews themechanismof intestinal microbiotaregulation in PCOSand thecurrent research status of Chinesemedicine intervention in the intestinal microbiota for the prevention and treatment of PCOS.It proposes that "the spleengoverns transportation and transformation"and "theheart ispaired withthesmall intestine"maybethe manifestations of macro Chinese medicine theory intheinfluenceof intestinalmicrobiotaonPCOS，providing newideas for the preventionand treatmentof PCOS with Chinese medicine.
