AbstractFlood forecasting serves as akey decision-making basis forflood controland rescueoperations as wellas the dispatching and applicationof flood control systems，andit isapplicable to therational utilizationand protectionof water resources，the constructionand management of water conservancy projects，and the safe productionof industry and agriculture.Tocomprehensively enhance theaccuracyofflood forecasting，strengthen thecapacityof hydrological intelligenceandforecasting services，andadapttothenewdemandsofflooddisaster preventionand waterresource utilization，basedon the current situationandproblemsofflood forecasting in Ningxia，improvement suggestionsare putforward from aspects such as enhancing modern monitoring levels，strengthening model research，strengthening cross-departmental information sharing，andimprovingthetalentcultivation mechanism，aiming tofurtherimprove the accuracyofflood forecastingand provide timelyand eficientdataanddecisionsupport forflood disaster prevention and control command and decision-making.
