Abstract Cryptosporidium is asignificant pathogen causing diarrhea in both humans andanimals. Goats serve as one of themost common potential hosts for Cryptosporidium.The research advances in the epidemiology，pathogenesis， diagnostic technology，and therapeutic strategies of cryptosporidiosis in goatsare systematicallreviewed.The controversial pointssuch as host specificity，drug resistance，and public health implications arefurther discussed， whilefuturedirections including genomics research，ecological studies，and innovations incomprehensive prevention and control strategiesare prospected.The aim is to provide acomprehensivereference forresearch and preventionof Cryptosporidium-related issues in goats.
