Abstract:Nonmetallicmaterial interior trimasembliesare theprimary sourcesof in-vehicleodors.Duringthe vehicledevelopment phase,itis necessarytoconductodorvalidationoneach interior trimassemblytoensure thatthe overall vehicle odor meets the enginering target requirements.Thisstudyintroducesa method forsimulating the overall vehicle odor using partial interior trim assembliesand anodor screening simulation chamber.Thismethod allowsforpredicting theodorleveloftheentirevehicle during theproduct development stage,identifying riksof filingtomeetenginering targetsinadvane,andpinpointinginteriortrimasembliesthatsignificantlycontributeto theoverall vehicleodor.Theresearch findings providedata supportforenvironmentally friendlymaterial selectionand process improvement in automotive interiors.
