Abstract:For the positive andnegativeextrusion of AZ8O magnesium allyforged wheels (hub A/L),the diffrencesinmicrostructureand mechanical propertiesof thekeyareasof spokes,rimsand nut seatsare systematicallyanalyzed,anditisrevealed thattheinsuficientdynamicrerystallzationcausedbyinsuficientplastic straininthenut seatareaisthecore mechanismofthe weak link inmechanics.Thetest resultsshow that the spokesandrimsarefullyrecrystalized,thegrainrefinement issignificant (theaveragegrainsizeis13.8~16.2 μm ) andtheyield strengthis150~239MPa.However,due totheinsuficient deformation,therecrystallzationis incomplete,the grain size is large (about 48μm ,about3 times that of other regions),and there is lamellar segregation of β-Mg17Al12 photos,resultinginayieldstrengthofonly112~144MPa,whichisabout 40% lower than that at the spokes and rims.
