Abstract：Poplar woodhaslowdensityanduneven graincolor.Asanexodermal wood，itsgrowthring structureis not distinct，and itsthree-dimensional grain paterns are notclear，resulting in poordecorative properties.These defects limit the applicationscope ofits processed products.Staining of veneer is a crucial process in the productionof decorative engineered wood panels.This studyanalyzes the factors afecting poplar veneer staining through experiments and determines the staining process. The results show that under the conditions of a bath ratio of 1：15 ，with a dye concentration of 1.2% ， 1% acetic acid，and 0.2% Pingping Jia O， the poplar veneer staining process is as follows： heat the poplar veneer in the dye solution at 80∘C for 2 hours，soak for 4 hours，and repeat the cycle twice before air-drying to complete the first coloring.High-pressure steaming for secondary coloring： maintain a dye bath temperature of 120∘C and a pressure of 150kPa . After dyeing for O.5 hours，reduce pressure and release steam to complete the poplar veneer staining.
