Abstract：Asthethirdlargest pilarindustry inagriculture，China's fruit industryhas the largestplantingscale inthe world.Withthe development of modern agricultural technology，mechanized operation inorchards hasbecome a key way to reduce labor costs. However，69. 1% of orchards in China are distributed in hilly and mountainous areas， where the comprehensive mechanization rate is only 5.75% ，far lower than 16% in plain areas，resulting in low production effciency.This paper systematically reviews the research progress of orchard lawn mowers at home and abroad，and details theresearch status and optimization directions of key technologiesand machinery suchas profiling，cuting，and walking.It proposes the development directions of specialization，intellectualization，lowdamage and high eficiency，and emphasizes promotingthe further development of orchard lawn mowers through technological innovation，so as to achieve the goal of eficient and low-damage mechanized weeding.
