Design and Performance Study of a Wood-Based Panel Decorative Roll Cutting Device

Abstract:To addressthe issues of precision and eficiency in the cuting process of wood-based panel decorative rolls,this study designeda roll cutting device based ona crank-slider mechanism and analyzed itsperformance.The working principle and power transmision requirementsof the cutting device wereevaluated,withan ecentric whel selected asthe crank.Rigid-body dynamics simulations were conducted to verifythe feasibilityof the mechanism's motion.Aditionally,explicit dynamic simulations were performed to model the cutting process,focusing on the stress,strain,and shear force distribution in therollmaterial.Thesimulationresults demonstrate thatthe speedtime and displacement-time curves of the upper cutter were consistent with theoretical requirements,and the motion trajectory was stable. In the cutting region,the maximum equivalent stressreached 10 MPa,the maximum equivalent strain was O.O83,and the maximum shear stress was 5.77MPa ,approaching the material's shear yield strength and successfullyachieving material shearing.Theresultsverifytherationalityof thecuting device designand thereliabilityof its performance,providing technical support for improving the cutting eficiencyand precision of wood-based panel decorative rolls and ofering valuable references for the optimization of similar cutting devices.
