【Abstract】 Objective To analyse the factors influencing the occurrence ofcognitive dysfunction in patients withParkinson's disease (PD)and the correlation with serum homocysteine (Hcy)and cystatin C(Cys-C)levels. MethodsA total of 97PD patientsadmited to Zhengzhou Ninth People's Hospital from March 2O23 to March 2024 wereretrospectively selected for the study,and weredivided into cognitively impaired group andcognitively normal group according to Montreal cognitive assessment scale (MoCA).Clinical data and laboratory indexes of the subjectswere collected and compared,and logisticregression analyses were used for the discrepant items,to investigate the influencesof thecognitive dysfunctionofthePDpatients.Logisticregressionanalysiswasused to investigatethefactorsafecting thedevelopmentofcognitivedysfunctioninPDpatients,andpearsoncorrelation coefficientand smoothed curve fiting wereused toanalyse thecorelation between thelevelsof Hcyand Cys-Cand cognitive dysfunction inPD patients,anda prediction model was constructed to analysethe predictive value of the levels ofHcyandCys-C incognitive dysfunction.ResultsOf the97PD patients,23 patients (23.7 % )withaMoCA scoreof(18.28±2.28)were included in the cognitive impairment group,and the remaining 74 patients (76.3 % )with a MoCA scoreof(28.31±1.17)were included inthe cognitively normal group.Thecognitively impaired groupdifered from the cognitively normal group in terms of Hcyand Cys-C levels (P1).Serum Hcy and Cys-C levels were negatively correlated with the occurrence ofcognitive dysfunction inPD patients ( r=⋅ -0.689,- 0.646, P <0.001),and a smoothed curve was used to fit the PD patients'serum The correlation between Hcyand CysC levels in PD patients was shown to be linearlycorrelated with the occurrence of cognitive dysfunction in patients, andthe predictivevalueof theHcyand Cys-CforcognitivedysfunctioninPDpatients was confirmedbyplotting the column line graph and calibration curve.ConclusionSerum Hcy and Cys-C levels are risk factorsforcognitive impairment inpatientswithPDand have goodcorrelationand clinical predictive value.Itis recommended that healthcare professionals pay more atention to the above factors and formulate treatment plans ina timely manner.
