Abstract: This study compared three canopy cultivation methods in terms of bud processing characteristics,yield, and yield components.Sensory evaluation and biochemical detection were also conducted on Longjing tea samples produced from the'Jiukengzao' cultivar.The results showed that flatcanopy methods significantly increased bud density,decreased hundred-bud weight,elevated fre aminoacid content,and reduced ester-type catechin levels in Jiukengzao',therebyimprovingthe liquorcolor,aroma,andtastequalityofLongjing tea.This studyinitiallyclarified the mechanism by which cultivating flat treecanopies improves the quality of Longjing tea made from'Jiukengzao',layingatheoretical foundation for further enhancing thequalityof Jiukengzao' tea.Italsohas positive significance for promoting the large-scale planting and industrial development of this new variety.
