AbstractThedynamicchanges of forest resources in Dongtai City in 2Oo8and 2024 were comprehensivelyanalyzed to clarify thecurrent statusand changesofforest resources.Theresults showed asfolows：during the interval period，the area of forest land decreased by 29.4% ，the greening rate of forest trees decreased by 5. O2 percentage points，the total volume of living trees increased by 13.3% ，the area of sericulture decreased by 75.5% ，and the converted area of four-side trees decreased by 49.6% . The area of timber forest and economic forest，the structure of arbor forest age groups and the compositionof treespeciesallchanged greatly.Inviewof theoveralldownwardtrendofforestresourcesinDongtai Citythis paper analyzedfrom thre aspects of policy，environmentand industry，and putforward some suggestions tostabilize the existing total amount and promote the high-quality development of forest resources.
