AbstractToclarify the effects of different typesof phosphate fertilizerson seedling root traits of several common garden tree species in Pulandian District of Dalian City,and to improve the quality of seedling root development and the survival rateoflandscaping and afforestation,1 -year-old seedlings offour garden treespecies,including Platanus orientalis,Tilia tuan,Malus ‘Royalty',and Acer pictum were used as test materials.Four treatments were established:no phosphate fertilizer(CK),inorganic phosphate fertilizer(P),organic phosphate fertilizer(OP),and combined application of inorganic and organic phosphate fertilizers (P+OP) . A pot experiment was conducted to systematically analyze the effects of diffrent phosphate fertilizer treatments onseedling root dry mass,average rootdiameter,total root length,and root surface area.
