Abstract:For the operating frequency bands of airborme early warning radars are continuously expanding towards lower frequency ranges,more wirelesscommunication devices share the same frequency bands with radar systems,causing significant unintentional jamming to unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)-borne radars during operation and severely affecting its target detection performance.Toaddress these isues,a mainlobe unintentionaljamming suppressionarchitecture and method based on pasive/active dual-mode coordination are proposed while keping the parameters of the airbome radar system unchanged.Firstly,in pasive mode,the frequency and bandwidth of each mainlobe jamming signal are estimated using adaptive beamforming techniques and constant false alarmrate detection criteria.Then,in active mode,the suppressionof mainlobeunintentional jammingisachievedthrough frequencydomain filtering.At thesame time,thefilteredcolornoiseis whitened to white noisethrough noise compensation,which further improves the target detection performance while achieving jammingsuppression.Finally,theeffctivenesofthe proposed methodisverifiedthroughsimulation experiments.
