Research Progress on the Intervention Effect of Exercise on College Students'Depression

Abstract:Depression isacommonnegativeemotional stateamongcolege students.Although the traditional interventionmethodsofdepresion (drug,physicalandpsychological intervention)have playedapositiveeffcton College Students'depression,there are some limitations,suchashighdrug iritationandhighcostofpsychotherapy,so thecomplianceispoor.Exercisehasmanyadvantages,suchaslessideeffects,simplicityandconvenience,controllable operationand soon,which has become theintervention methodrecommended in the mental health guide.This paper summarizes the effect of exercise intervention on College Students'depression,including the effectof exercise type, exerciseintensityexercise frequencyexercisevolumeandotherfactorsonCollege Students'depression.Thestudy found that aerobicexercise,resistance exerciseand exercise combination therapycan improve the interventionof College Students'depression.Aerobic exercise is the most popularand widelyused type of exercise intervention.The exercise intensity is usually 65% to 80% HRmax,and the exercise frequency is recommended to be 3 to 5 times/week.
