Abstract：Toscientifically evaluate theeffectiveness of elderly-friendlyrenovation inoldresidentialareas，a post-evaluation index system for elderly-friendlyrenovation satisfactionwasconstructed.Datawerecollctedfromthree typical communities in Shenyang City as samples.The structural equation model（SEM）was used to conduct confirmatory factoranalysisand path testingontheindexsystem.Theresultsshow thatthefivelatentvariablesofbarrier-fre facilities，infrastructure，servicefacilities，safetyfacilities，andliving environmentallpositivelyaffectresidents’satisfaction.The path coeficientsfrom high to low areinfrastructure（0.8O2），servicefacilities（0.745），living environment（0.74O），safetyfacilities（O.730），and barier-free facilities（O.717）.This research aims to provide an evaluation basisforrelated practices byconstructingan elderly-friendlyrenovation evaluation system，inorder toeffectivelyaddressthe challengesof aging and improve thequalityof ifeof elderlyresidents andoffer areplicable practical model for the differentiated renovation strategies of aging-friendly old residential areas.
