Abstract:Curentlyresearchonoverturmingprotectiondevicesfortank structuresremainsrelativelyscarcebothdomesticallynd interationally.Toinvestigatewetherdynamicdroptestingcaneectivelyevaluatetestrengthrequirementsofsuchprotectiondevic es,thisstudyexaminsaverifcatiomethodologybasedostrengthasessmentciteria.Afrefalldropsenariowasmodeledandsiulatedthroughfiniteelementanalysis toconductdynamicsimulationoftankoverturningconditions.Thesimulationresultswerethen usedtovalidatetespondingexperimetalappoachestressdistrtionndeforationharacteristsoftertungpro tectioneviceunderverticaldropconditionsweresstematicallyaalyzd.Tefindingsdemonstratethatteverticaldroptstanadequatelyreproduceteiertialforsquvalettotwietestadardequiremet,provingitssuitabilitysatadardedtiget od for tank overturning protection devices.
