Research on the Impact and Mechanism of Artificial Intelligence on E-commerce Transactions-Based on Prefecture-level City Panel Data

Abstract:Atpresent,ChinaezestheopporunityoftheeraofrtificialintellgencetechnologystrivingtopromoteArtfcal Intellgece(AI)empoweredindustries,andrealizingthehigh-qualitydevelopmentofindustriesfromdigitaltransforationto digital-iteligentransformation.Basedonthedataof260prefecture-levelcitisinCiafrom212toO23,tispaperhasfocused onanalyzing theimpactofAItechnologyonthelocale-commerceindustryanditsmechanism.Theresearchresultsshowthat:(l)AI technologycanefectivelypromotethegrowthoflocale-commerce transactionvolume;(2)Scientificandtechnologicalinvestment andthegovernment'spolicyatentiontothedigitaleconomyplayanintermediaryroleintheimpactofAItechnologyinthe e-commerce industry.AI technology promotes the increase of e-commerce transaction volume through two channels:improving scientificandtechnologicalinvestmentandpromotingthegovermenttoisuemorepiciesrelatedtotedigitalindustry;(The impactofthedevelopmentofAItechnologyonthelocale-commerceindustryhas heterogeneityamongdiferentregions,among which the impact effect in the western region is the best,and that in the eastern region is the worst.
