Research Status and Prospect of Laser Cladding Titanium Alloys

Abstract:Titanium alloyis animportant choice for lightweight materials becauseof itsexcelent properties,butits development isrestrictedduetopoorsurface wearresistance.Lasercladdngtechnologyisanimportant method toimproethe surfacepropertiesoftitanumallys withadvantagessuchashighmtalurgicalbondingstrengthandcontrollble fmingproperties. Inthispaper,thelatestresearchdevelopmentsinpreparingtitanumaloycladdingvialasecaddingtechnologyaresummarized.The results of process parameteroptimizationandpowder materalselectionareanalyzed,revealingthatlaserpowerandsaingsped significantlyafectcladdngperformance.Furthermore,themechanismsunderlying improvements inwearresistanceandcorrosion resistancearedisussed,dmonstratingthatlasercadngeffectivelyeancesufacepropertistroughmetalurgcalodngand microstructure refinement. Finally, current challenges are addressed,and future development trends are predicted.
