Case Study on Carbon Emissions of Fuding Organic White Tea Based on the Entire Life Cycle

Abstract:TakingFuding organic white tea as theresearch object,the life cycle assessment (LCA)method was adopted to systematicallyevaluate its carbon emissions throughoutits entire life cycle.Byconstructing the system boundary of Fuding organic white tea from planting,processng,transportation,sales toconsumption,andusing acarbon emission acounting model for quantitativeanalysis,thisstudyinvestigated thecarbonemission characteristics andkeyinfluencing factorsatdiferentstagesofthe lifecycle,andthenproposedtargetedlow-carbonoptimizationstrategies.Theresearch results indicate that the total carbon emissions of 1kg Fuding organic white tea are 17.62890kg ,with carbon emissions mainly concentrated in the tea planting and processing processes (accounting for 34% and 38% ,respectively). The use of electricityandtheaplicationoforganic fertilizers arekeyfactors affctingcarbon emissons.Inaddition,theresearch has found that thecarbonemissions during transportationand waste disposal stagesarerelativelysmall,butstillquire atention.Byproposing optimization solutions,this study providesa theoretical foundation forthe ecologicalreearch ofFuding organic white tea and ofers important references for sustainable development in the region.
