Abstract: Specular reflection and diffuse reflection are inseparable in most remote sensing images. Spectral vegetation indices are widely used to assess vegetation coverage and growth conditions. However, specular reflection may cause deviations in reflected data, thereby affecting the accuracy of vegetation indexes. Therefore, the issue of the impact of specular reflection on vegetation indexes is studied to improve the analysis accuracy of remote sensing data. Based on the analysis of the relationship between specular reflection and vegetation indexes and fractional vegetation cover, a vegetation multispectral measurement experimental system was built, and 2O vegetation spectral indexes were measured. The corresponding fractional vegetation cover was compared and analyzed based on the pixel dichotomy method. The research results show that specular reflection not only affects the narrowband of spectral vegetation indexes but also affects fractional vegetation cover, providing certain experimental basis and methodological foundation for improving the monitoring accuracy of vegetation indexes and determining the inversion of fractional vegetation cover.
