Abstract:Toinvestigatetevortex-inducedvibration(V)characteristisofelasticallyoectedtademdoublecyliders,ac theoreticalmodelofteuacyldersisestabsdfud-structureiteractiocalulatiometodofAFuentadAB isadoptedTedesidestgrefd-OFmotoso-fd-edoatesoiearspre computationalresultsofthe proposed dynamic modelarecompared withwindtunnel experimental data,confirmingthe accuracyof the numericalmethodandtheoreticalmodel.Numericalsimulationsareconductedforatandemcylindersystemat Reynolds number Re=150 with center-to-center spacing of 2D (where D is the cylinder diameter),massratio of2,and reduced velocityrangeof3~10.The influence of varyingcoetigspgstfsoesposaractestisistematicallaledulemostrateatelastic increasestheonsetreducedvelocityofVVintandemcylinders.Forin-linevbrationthevibrationamplitudeincreaseswithfowelocity untileachingatableaueHgherotionstissladstagerampiudesInofotevbatioamplideiitiallea andthendecreasesiticasingfloelocityddioallastecoeostissieas,teck-iveloitygeaaly widens,andthibrationampitudealsogows.Notablythesdyrevealstattecoeioifssectstepasediernebeeen thevibration of two cylinders,consequently altering their vibration amplitudes.
