Constructing "Pan Jinlian"：Cultural Construction，Production， and Reproduction

Abstract：JinPingMeiinteractswith，proliferatestrough，andmutatescrossvarioustextualresources，withPanJinlianoneof thecentralfiguresinJinPngMei-siatedatthevortexofextalinterweaving"Displacementconstiutesthcorestategofin PingMei：itsunstableperformativitycontinuouslygeneratesentangledmeanings.Thisdisplacementstemsfromtextualsuture，the operatiooflinguisticpower，ndthelossofcontrolovertheauthor'sintent，revealingtheinstabilityandproductivityoftextual meaning.Asresult，PanJinlianemergesasa"being-onstructed"subjectunderdiscursive"interpelation".Asa"suject-in -process"，PanJinlian'sidentityisjointlyshapedbythecollborativeproductionofdiscursieinterpellation，displaced representation，anderoticspectacle，ultimatelyembodyingan"authenticinauthenticity"createdtroughtherepresentationalpractice of"eror.ThemansionofWangZhaoxuan-wheretherealandtheimaginaryintermingle-functionsasanintermediaryspacefor thespectator-peformerrelationship，andtogetherwiththeparodyandvariationofboudoirresentmentinpoetry，ciandqu， it"produces"PanJinlianAsadisciplinedubjectofskilltraining，herbodyishighlycontrolled，yetsheocllatesbetween rebellonandsubmissonwitinparodyEssentialtotis"performativeproduction"，theconstructionofPanJinlian'sidentityis dynamicallyonstuctedutheticallutenticistenefogedtrogheiationdfluefos.ongHlnsical replicatinofPanJinlianfilstoachieveclassmobilitystead，iteinforceshedentitypredicamentultimatelyleadingtoself destruction.Ctationepetition，andfomulaicwitingrevealPanJinlian'sreplicabilityHerinevitabledeathatthehandsofu Songdoesnotterminatehersymbolicbody；rather，shepre-existsas"PanJinlian"，exposingtheviolent natureofpowerin manufacturing "guilty subjects"through the "spectacle of punishment".
