A Brief Discussion on Huang Tingjian's Poetry and Prose and His Hometown Complex

Abstract;Huang TingjianwasboninFenning（present-dayXiushuiCounty，Jiujiang，Jiangxi），andhispoetryandproseare imbuedwithaprofoundloveforhishometown.Hisworksfrequentlydepicthometownsceneryandexpressnostalgicsentiments.He showedgreatconcernfortheculturalandeducationaldevelopmentofhishometown，asevidencedbyumerousrcordsinscriptions， anddedicatorypoems.Hemaintainedmoralfrienshipswithlocaloficials，writingleterstocommendtheirsimpleandhonest govenanceandtencougeintegrityHeassociatedwithlocalliteratiandoetmonksngginginoeticdisusionswiththm Hecareddeplyforhisrelatives，sendingleterstoinquireaftertheirwell-beingoradvisingthemonpreparingmedicinesand ruingparmaciesAditioalyeelebatedaningteaisoetry，iftedittofrendsndwoteboutteocidsfhs hometown，reflecting Huang Tingjian's deep affection for the local culture and scenery.
