Abstract：Therelationshipbetweenseaportsandinlandregionsnotonlyimpactsthedevelopmentofcoastalareasandportlogistics butinfluencesland-searesourcefowsdindustriallinages，ostitutingcrucialisueiatialsatialplaingfooastalad inlandterrioesecasifconandnaigofotnteandtypesftefunctioalrtiosisndtevotiobtween seaports and hinterlands.Thisstdy integratesthesmoke plume model withahierarchical clustering model，considering multiple functionalfactorsicludingtrasportiononomicndgisticsItlulatesteiuenceitesityauesofortsot hinterland cities，and categorizes the hinterland into four types indescending tier order- direct，competitive，peripheral，and potential hinterland.Furthemore，testudydepictsadandvisualiestheevolvingspatialpatesofNingboZhoushanPort’shinterlandtpesin thefourprovisofgdgrs，719d.sea anewquantatiemethodologfordntifndierenttyesofseaporthnterlads，charactestespatialandtmpoaldyaicf hinterlndtypologiesoftecseport，evealsregioaldistrbutionfeaturesofinterlandtyps，andanalyzes techangingienceof locationfactors.Thefdingsmayderiveisightsforportsandtheirhinterlandsrelationshipndthecoordinateddevelopmentbetwen coastal and inland areas.
