Abstract:Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China， General Secretary Xi Jinping has put forward a series of important statements on scientific and technological innovation，profoundly answering major theoretical questions such as why to carry out scientific and technological innovation，what kind of scientific and technological innovation to carry out，and how to carry out scientific and technological innovation，providing fundamental guidance for cultivating innovative talents in the new era and realizing the educational concept of building a strong country with talents.We should deeply，thoroughly，and vividly explain Xi Jinping's formation logic，core essence，and practical implications of scientific and technological innovation，ensuring that its content system is accurately，completely，and deeply integrated into the teaching of ideological and political courses in universities. We should continuously optimize the path and methods of integrating Xi Jinping's important discourse on scientific and technological innovation into ideological and political courses in universities from the aspects of comprehensively strengthening teachers’ innovation awareness and ability，enriching teaching content and methods，and carrying out diversified extracurricular practical teaching，in order to continuously enhance the educational and soul building effect of Xi Jinping's important discourse on scientific and technological innovation.
