Abstract:In this study,seeds of Tulipa thianschanica Regel were subjected to stratification at 4°C to systematically analyzethe physiological and biochemical changes during theprocess ofseeddormancyrelease.Theresults showed that in termsofseed storagesubstances,withtheextensionof stratificationtime,thecontentof solublesugarsintheseeds firstdecreasedand thenincreased,thecontentof starch firstincreasedandthendecreased,andthecontentof soluble proteinscontinuouslydeclined.Intermsofseedenzymeactivity,withtheextensionofstratificationtime,theactivityofperoxidase ( P(DD )intheseeds first decreasedand then increased.Intheearly stratificationstage(1-1Odays),theactivities of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G-6-PDH) and 6-phosphogluconate dehydrogenase ( 6-PGDH ) in the seeds showed no significantchange.However,inthelatestratificationstage(4Odays),theactivitiesofbothenzymesintheseedssignificantly
increased.In terms of endogenous hormone content,with theextensionofstratificationtime,thecontentofabscisic acid(ABA)in theseedsfirst increased and then decreased,thecontentofgibberellin( GA3 )first decreased andthen increased,while thecontentsof auxin(IAA)and cytokinin(CTK)continuously rose.The results ofthis studyelucidated the changes in the content of storage sub
stances,enzyme activities,and hormone levels duringthe dormancyrelease of Tulipa thianschanica Regel seeds,providing a theoretical basis for the dormancy regulationand eficient propagationof Tulipa thianschanica Regel seeds.
