Abstract:Inresponseto the low plasticity problemof TC4 titaniumalloy formedbyMetal Powder Injection Molding Technology (MIM),this study investigates the preparation of TC4 alloy samples using MIM technology and discusses the changes in plastic microstructure of the samples under different dual heat treatment proceses,in order to improve the comprehensive mechanical properties of MIM made TC4 titanium alloy.Study found that, it was found that after treatment with process 2,the TC4 titanium alloy had the greatest number of toughnessdimples inthe cross-section.Under the same fieldof view,the toughness dimples had larger diameters and depths,and the average toughness dimple size was the largest compared to other groups of processes, at 11.8μm .The proportion of dimples with a size in the range of 6~14μm is 74% . The hardness value and melt index of the heat-treated titanium alloy sample are the highest, reaching 539.76HV and 1893.06g/10min ,respectively.At the same time, the yield strength and tensile strength of TC4 titanium alloy did not change significantly after process 2 heat treatment, while theplasticityincreasedby 13.75% .The results indicate that heat treatment process2 can improve the comprehensive mechanical propertiesof TC4 titanium ally,enhance its industrial productionand expand its practical application scope.
