Abstract:This article investigates the changes inthe temperature,stres,and strain fields during the heat treatment process of 9310 steel gears. Asign relevant physical properties and oil quenching boundary conditions to 9310 steel with coupled phase transformation in the model. In terms of the temperature field,the outer surface temperature of the gear is the lowest and decreases slowly during oil quenching.The lower temperature is low in the early stage of quenching,and the surface temperature continues to decrease over time.The first 41 seconds of oil quenching is a critical period for controling the structure and sizeof the gear.During this stage,there is a significant temperature difference between the surface and the center,and the thermal stresshasa significant impact.Subsequently,the temperature difference graduallydecreases until temperature equilibrium isreached.In the stress field,Mises stress increaseswithoilquenching time.During the initialcooling stage,the internal stressis high,andafter thephase transition,thecore stress increases sharply.The surface stresschanges dramaticallywithina specifictime,and there arediferences instresschanges at diferent positions.After 25 seconds,theresidual compressive stress shows a bimodalchange,andthefinalstress increaseisduetoelasticshrinkagecausedbythermal stressInthestrain field, thedisplacementof the gear outer discdecreases with quenching time,and the displacement of surface characteristic points is maximum atthe toth tipafter heating up.During cooling,it sharplydecreases,then slightly increases,and stabilizes.On the feature path, the displacement change amplitude of point 4 is greater than thatof point 6. After 41 seconds of cooling,the displacement of point1 reaches its maximum value,while the displacement of the central point 6 is relatively small The research results have clarified the variation paterns of various fields during the heat treatment process of 9310 steel gears,which has important guiding significance for related process optimization and quality control.
