Abstract：To understand the physiological tolerance of juvenile Cyprinus carpio under sodium chloride （NaCl） and sodium bicarbonate（ ）stress，this study investigated the acute tolerance of Cyp- rinus carpio fry and juvenile fingerlings to NaCl and NaHCO3 ，as well as the combined toxicity of ΔNaCl and NaHCO3 on juvenile fingerlings. The experimental results are summarized as follows：For Cyprinus carpio larvae，the 24h and 96h median lethal concentrations （LC50 ）of NaCl were 8.62g/L and 4.82g/L ，respectively，with a safe concentration（SC）of 2.29g/L ；the 24h and 96h LC50 values of NaHCO3 were 107.83mmol/L and 59.97mmol/L ，respectively，with a SC of 12.35mmol/L .For juvenileCyprinuscarpio fingerlings，the 24h and 96hLC50 values of NaCl were 12. 40g/L and 11.27g/L ，respectively，with a SC of 3.36g/L ；the 24h and 96hLC50 values of NaHCO3 were 74.63mmol/L and 33. 62mmol/L ，respectively，with a SC of 7.60mmol/L .Under a salinity of 2.5g/LNaCl ，the 24h ， 48h ， 72h ，and 96hLC50 values of NaHCO3 for juvenile were 49.19mmol/L ， 42.83mmol/L ， 39.81mmol/L ，and 34.69mmol/L ， respectively；at a salinity of 5.0g/L ，the corresponding LC50 values were of NaHCO3 were 46. 33mmol/L ， 40. 81mmol/L ， 35. 15mmol/L ，and 27.41mmol/L ；under a salinity of 10.0g/L ，the LC50 values were 11.35mmol/L ，6.67 mmol/L， 3.49mmol/L ，and 3.48mmol/L ，respectively. These findings provide valuable reference data for the future promotion of Cyprinus carpio aquaculture saline-alkaline waters.
