Study on theVentilation Flow Field and Gas TransportationLawof CompositeRailroadGas Tunnel

Abstract:[Purposes] This paper aims to investigate the ventilation and gas transportation law during the construction of coalbed methane and shallow natural gas composite high-gas railroad tunnel.[Methods] Taking the actual project as an example,FLUENT numerical simulation software was used to conduct transient analysis and study the effect of ventilation on gas concentration.[Findings] The study shows that: ① after 2O minof ventilation,the flow field in the tunnel is basicall stable,and the wind speeds in the tunnel are all greater than 0 . 2 5 m / s ,which is in line with the requirements of the construction ventilation; ② under the stable state of ventilation,the closer the area of the palm face is,the greater the fluctuations in wind speed and gas concentrationare are; ③ after the ventilationflow field isstabilized, it isdifficult to discharge the gas accumulation atthe top of the wall,the footing,and thecornersof the walof the palm face.[Conclusions] Through analysis,it can be seen that the ventilation wind speed is 1 4 . 5 4 m / s which meets the ventilation requirements of the tunnel. Gas detection and local ventilation should be done in the area prone to gas accumulation on the return air side.
