[Abstract]Periodontaldiseaseisacommon chronic inflammatory disease of theoralcavity.Althoughdentists are experiencedinthe managementof periodontal disease，the treatmentof patients receiving long-term antithrombotic therapy presents additional chalenges becauseof their often complex systemic conditionsand considerable interindividual variability.The managementofantithrombotic medications priortobasic periodontal therapyremains asubjectofongoingdebate.Inclinical practice，patients mayindependentlyalter their medicationregimens，frequentlyunderestimatingthe increasedriskof thrombotic eventsassociated withthediscontinuationofthesedrugs.Comprehensiveriskassessmentprior toinitiatingperiodontaltherapyisessentialtominimizebleedingandthromboticcomplications.Thisarticlereviewscurrentstrategiesfordeveloping individualizedperiodontal treatmentplans，outlinesprecautionsrelatedtoantithrombotic druguse，anddiscusses themanagementof intraoperativeandpostoperative bleeding.Theaimis tosupportclinicians in formulating rational and patient-specific approaches tobasic periodontal treatment for individualsonantithrombotic therapy.
