[Abstract]Antibacterial-remineralizingmaterialshaveatracted extensiveattntioninrecentyears forcaries prevention and treatmentowing totheir breakthroughs inmultifunctional integration,optimized biomimetic structuraldesign,enhancedbiocompatibilityandremarkablecontrolabilityofsideeffcts.Thiseviewsummarizesthefunctionalcaracteristicsandmechanismsofactionofantibacterial-remineralizingmaterialsappliedtodentalenamel,withasystematicclassificationintosixcategories:fluoride-basedmaterials,bioactiveglass-basedmaterials,chitosan-basedcomposites,amel geninderivativesand peptides,nanomaterialsystems,and plantpolyphenolcomplexes.Thisreviewaimed to providereferences forclinicalpreventionandtreatment strategiesand promotefurtheradvancements inthis fieldof bioactivematerials.
