Effects of NaHCO3+Na2 (20 CO3 Combined Saline-alkali Stress on Growth and Physiological Characteristics of CL26 Willow Seedlings

AbstractTo investigate the adaptability of willow clone CL26 to saline-alkali environments,its cuting seedlings were used as materials. Irigation treatments were conducted with a composite solution of NaHCO3+Na2CO3 (ata ratio of 9:1) at concentration gradients of O,50,100,150,200,and 250 mmol ⋅L-1 .Growth indicators such as total root number and total root length,as wellas physiological indicators including soluble sugar (SS),soluble protein (SP),malondialdehyde(MDA),and relative conductivity (RC)of the seedlings were determined.The response patterns were analyzed by using Excel and SPSS software.The results showed as follws:with the increase of saline-alkali concentration,the total root number and total root length first decreased and then increased;SS,SP,and MDA showed characteristicsof multiplefluctuations;whileRC showed first decreased,thenincreased,and thendecreased again.CL26wilow seedlings can adapt to saline-alkali environments by accumulating osmotic adjustment substances,repair mild stress damage,and thus exhibit strong saline-alkali resistance.
