Research on Carbon SinkofKey Forestry Projectsin Liaoning Province

AbstractTakingthekeyforestryprojectsiLionngProvieThre-NorthelterbeltProjectFst-GrowinandHig-YldFst Project,GrainforGreenPrject)astheresearchbjectsusingtheforestresouresinventorydataofLiaonngProviceinO6andthe relevantdatainForestResourcesofLiaoningProvince(2oo7),thecarbonstorageandcarbondensitywerecalculatedbyusingthe continuousfunctionmethodofbiomassconversionfactorandthetotalcarbonstorageofforeststandsandthecarbonstorageof key forestryprojects inLiaonigProvinceanditssubordinatecitieswereanalyzed.Theresultsshowedthattheforeststandcarbonstorage was 142.63Tg and the carbon density was 32.38t⋅hm-2 in Liaoning Province in 2O06.The three cities with the highest carbon storage intheprefecture-levelcitiesof theprovinceareFushun,DandongandBenxi,andthetreeieswiththehighestcarbondnsityare Fushun,anjinandBenxi.Thecarbonstorageof threekeyforestryprojectsinLiaonngProvincewas15.O7Tgaccounting for 10.57% of the total carbon storage of the whole province.The carbon storage of the Grain for Green Project was 5.60Tg ,the carbon storage of the Three-North Shelterbelt Project was 5.45Tg ,and the carbon storage of the Fast-Growing and High-Yield Forest Project was 4.02Tg.Shenang,JuFuxinanjidoangontedforalageproportionoftetotalforestbonstogefehe keyforestryprojectsaliansanioyngandelingereinteidlendushueniandong,ingkoudHulao weresmall.TecarbonsinkeectofkeforestryprojectsinLiaoningProvinceisverysignificant,nditisnecessarytootiueto implement key forestry projects for the realization of China’s“double carbon”goal.
