AbstractAsaniportantecologicalbarierinnorthernChina,thehealthstatusofwidbreakandsand-fixingforestsintheBashang Plateauof HebeiProvinceiscrucial toregionalecologicalsecurity.However,inrecentyears,therehasbeenalargeareaof degradationofwindbreakandsand-fxingforestsinBashangarea,whichhasseriouslyafecteditsecological function.Takingthe degraded forestintheBashangPlateauastheresearchobject,theanalytichierarchyprocess(AHP)wasusedtosystematicallnalyze theinfluencingfactorsofthedegradationofthewindbreakandsand-fixingforestsfromtwoaspects:naturalfactors(climatechange, soilmoistureoillciuculationlarsilicaladeicalpoptisstsndiseassderstorygetatid humanfactors(grazing,tendingmanagement).Byconstructingaerarchicalstructuremodel,combinedwithfieldsureyataand expertscoring,theweightofeachfactorwasdetemnedandthecontributionofeachfactortostanddegradtionasquantiatiely evaluated.Theresultsshowedthatclimatechangewastheprimaryfactorleadingtothedegradationof windbreak andsand-fixing forestsinBashangwithaweightofO235.Inprticularteintensificationofroughttrendandthedcreaseofprecipitationhada significantnegativeimpactonstandgrowth.Thesecondwasgrazingwithaweightof0.221.Overgrazingseriouslydamagedthe foreststructureandhinderedthenormal growthofsaplings.ThesoilmoistureproblemwasfolowedbytheweightofO.168,ndthe lackofsoilwateroldingcapacityhadbecomeakeyfactorrestrictingthealthygowthoftrees.Iaddition,soilcalciumlaests and diseases and tending management also had different degrees of influence on forest degradation.
