On the Newly Discovered Wei and Jin Dynasty Tombs in Gaotai， Gansu Province， and Related Issues

Abstract：In March 2023，the Gaotai County Pioneer Seed Companydiscovereda portrait brick tomb during the constructionofafactory，follwingwhichscholarsfromLanzhou UniversitywereinvitedbytheGaotaiCountyMuseumto conductanemergencycleaningandrestorationofthesite.This brick-chamberedtombwithaslopingpassgeconsistsof three chambersorganizedintofront，midleandback sections.Eventhoughthetombhas beendamaged，thearchitecturalstructure andportraitbicksofthetombareelativelyintact，andvriousrelicsicludingpoterybronzework，oins，andportaitbicks wereunearthed，allofwhichdatefromtheWeiandJindynasties.Studyofthesematerialshasshownthat theownerofthetomb waslikelyanoficialorapersonfromapowerfullocalfamily.Asoneof themostimportantarchaeological discoveries in Gaotai duringrecentyars，thistombprovidesimportantdataforresearchonthearchitecturalorganization，urialcustosnd social life of the Wei and Jin dynasties in Gaotai and the Hexi regions.

南华墓地位于高台县南华镇先锋村西南2千米处戈壁上，南临兰新铁路，北靠南华镇，连霍高速公路从墓群中间穿过，墓群北部为南华工业园区。（剩余9354字）
