Abstract:Inthestudy,phosphoricacidwasutilizedasamodifertoenhancethedecolorizationateofneutraledonactiatedca bon,whichseredastheresponsevariable.Teadsorptionmechanismofneutralredasanalyzedthoughadsoptionkineticsadthead sorptionsothermmodelofphosphoricacid-modifiedcarbonfortreatingsimulatedwastewatercontainingeutralred.Thersultsndicated thattheoptimal preparationconditions forthe modified material wereas folows:aphosphoricacidconcentrationof 2.5% ,Mcarbon :V phosphoric acid ratio of1:5O,and an impregnation time of 2 hours.The decolorization rate of 30mg/L neutral red was found to be (20 82.57% .Furthermore,the phosphoric acid -modified carbon exhibited an adsorption capacity of 14. 54mg/g when it absorbed (20 100mg/L neutraledfor90minutes,indicatingitsgoodperformanceinelectrostaticandmulti-layeradsorptiondominatedbyphysical difusion.This suggests its potential use in treating wastewater containing dyes.
