A Microecological Compound Regulator for Removing Nitrite in Water Bodies

Abstract:Toaddresstheproblems of diseasesand mortalityinaquaticanimals caused byelevated nitritelevels inintensive aquaculture water,basedon thenitrite-reducing principle wherenitritereductase canspecificallyand ficiently degrade nitrite intonitrogen gas or ammonium salts,using the microecological preparationsproducing nitritereductaseas the composite regulator,amicroecological composite regulatorcontaining acomposite fermentation broth and anenzymebased stable mixture wasdeveloped.The degradation eficiencyand action pathwayof the microecological composite regulatoronnitrite wereevaluated bydetecting nitriteconcentration,determiningnitritereductaseactivity,andcounting the number of nitrite reductase-producing colonies.The results show that when the microecological composite regulator, prepared by mixing the composite fermentation broth and the enzyme-based stable mixture at a volume ratio of 3:1 ,is added to nitrite-containing water, it can significantly reduce the nitrite content in water within 36h ,increase the nitrite reductase activity by 61.67% ,and improve the survival rate of beneficial bacteria such as Lactobacillus plantarum in water by 4 times.
