Abstract:In order to investigate the efect of modified atmosphere packaging(MAP)on the freshness of strawberries during storage at diferent shelf temperatures,strawberries were packaged using conventional film (P1) and antibacterial film (P2),and then stored at and (25±1)℃.P1 packaging with holes was used as the control group(Con).The changes in appearance,nutritional quality,physiological indices,and antioxidant enzyme of strawberries were analyzed.The results showed that compared with storage at room temperature, low-temperature storage was found to be beneficial for maintaining the quality of strawberies and extending shelf-life. Compared with the control group,P1 and P2 were observed to maintain arelatively high 02 level in the bag,inhibit the accumulation of CO2. ,and reduce the ethylene release of strawberries,thereby further delay quality deterioration.Among the treatments,the P2 packaging was found to show the best preservation effect, significantly reducing the weight loss rate,and microbial colony count of strawberries.At15d on the lowtemperature shelf,its soluble solids,titratable acid,and ascorbic acid contents were measured to be 6.59 % , 12.68 % ,and 30.89 % higher,respectively, than those of the Con.Additionally,it was demonstrated that P2 packaging could stabilize the total phenolic content,enhance the activities of catalase(CAT)and ascorbate peroxidase (APX). In conclusion,antibacterial MAP combined with low temperature could effectively maintain strawberry quality during the shelf life,and prolong its duration,providing technical references for strawberry storage,transportation,and sales.
